The city recently had our state fair, it is always such a huge event, and we go every year. This year they had several new booths set up; one was to have your pop art portrait created. I volunteered since I am always the first to do anything and it turned out great. So then, my two brothers and sister all had their portraits made, and finally we had a group portrait made. All of them turned out great but of course, we had to giggle at each one. I do not know why when we are all together we end up being so silly.

I never thought about going to college until all of my friends went. After they left, they would call me to let me know how much fun they were having. So, I decided to enroll the next semester. It was the best decision that I have ever made. Not only am I getting an education, but I am having a blast doing it. I am going on my very first spring break trip and I am so excited. Now that all of my kids are grown and out of the house, I decided it was time for me to buy some nice things for the house. I have this friend who is really happy recently. He used to have to use the pay phone down at the corner whenever he wanted to call somebody. That way he only has to pay for the minutes that he uses, and doesn’t have to apply for any contracts, for which he would surely be rejected due to his poor credit. I guess there is a product for everybody in today’s market. I guess he is lucky when is living, and not before, when these thins weren’t available.

There are many presents that I have to buy for this holiday season. There are so many things that I am tempted to buy but I have so little money. There are people in my family that have given me their gift ideas–that they expect me to buy for them. Since I am a doctor, they some how think I have money to spend on them lavishly. But I think this year I’ll just buy the family a trip. All 19 of us will go on a trip, and I’ll pay for the flights to and from. I think that is a good gift for them, at least they are getting away and having fun.

I am throwing a party next week and I went this weekend to do some shopping.  I really need to get everything set up early so that I will not be stressed out the morning of the party and end up running a lot of errands.  So I got most of the food and snacks taken care of today.  I bought a huge tin of gourmet popcorn and ended up opening it in the car on my way to my next stop.  This was a big mistake, since I ended up eating half of it before I got home and now I need to go get more before next weekend.
