The Japanese really love their karaoke and that is probably why it was imported to the United States because every movie that you see in Japan usually has a scene dealing with karaoke and if you decide to buy a machine in the United States you will more likely have to pick up some karaoke software to make sure that all your options and functions work properly and you have the widest variety of songs available to listen to. It is fun to have a wide variety of songs so the older people can sing the classics and the newer people can sink the top 40 and current hits.
