A Great and New Site

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

My cousin has became involved in a home based business and he recently finished building an awesome website.  He wants to promote online and his site is unlike any that I have ever seen.  He found some cheap domain hosting and he does not have to worry about that anymore.  He is hoping to build his business by developing some catchy online advertising.  He is very talented when it comes to business and I have no doubts that he will succeed.  He has very high standards and goals and he can do anything that he sets his mind to do.  He will be a huge success.

The Spyware Adware Removal Software Engineer Beach Trip

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

Once I went on this beach getaway with my girlfriend. Our girl was to get away from everything. She is a computer programmer, and wanted to think of anything but computers while we were there. Unfortunately, this guy we kept bumping into was software developer that was creating a new adware remover tool that was supposed to be the end all of spyware and adware destroyers. I respect the guys work and everything, I just wish he didn’t keep asking my girlfriend for programming advice in between margaritas and buckets of chips and salsa. After a few margaritas, of course, nothing bothered me too much.

My Business Cell Phone Is My New Best Friend

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

I am so grateful to whoever came up with the idea of using your cell phone to answer text messages for business purposes. It makes such sense when you think about it. As a busy realtor, I love the advances in Real Estate Marketing today. My cell phone has become an invaluable tool for answering initial inquiries while I may be busy with another client or even taking a break with my family. This little machine allows me to work instead of wasting time. I don’t have to drive around every day to see if I still have brochures posted on every property. In fact, I usually don’t even bother with individual property brochures any more. My cell phone for business is my new best friend.

Digital Zoom Versus Optical Zoom

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

Many digital cameras offer both digital and optical zoom.  These two often confuse the average camera buyer, until you know what you’re looking at.Optical zoom works much like the zoom lens on a 35 mm film camera. It changes the length of your camera’s lens and draws the subject closer to you.  The optical zoom keeps the quality of the picture. Digital zoom works differently. It simply takes the picture and crops it then enlarges the part that is left.  It causes the quality of the photo to be reduced, sometimes greatly. What this means in terms of output is you may have a larger view of an object with the digital zoom, but chances are your image will become unfocused.  Details will become lost.  It is actually best to turn off the digital zoom feature of your camera if possible.  This will prevent you automatically zooming in too close as the digital zoom is often an extension of the optical. There are a couple of things you can do if you want a closer view of a subject but want the quality of your picture to still be good.  Try moving in closer when you take the picture.  Often only a foot or two will do the trick.  If this isn’t possible, you can set your camera to take a picture at its highest file size.  This will result in a photo that can be cropped to include only your desired subject, yet allow for an image that is still clear.Digital zoom has its place.  It can be used if the only destiny of your photo is the internet.  Photos online can be a much lower quality in the camera and still appear acceptable when sent through e-mail or posted on a web gallery.  If your goal is printing, however, seek a camera that has a greater optical zoom and turn off the digital zoom.  Your pictures will be better in the end, even if they are not as close up. sony digital camera

How to fix the ntfs.sys blue screen?

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

You would have heard a lot about The Blue Screen of Death or stop error or BSoD or a bluescreen. These are the terms used for the error screen displayed by Microsoft Windows. The most important point about the BSoD is the blue screen error code(s) that is displayed in the blue screen. The Stop 0×24 message indicates that a problem occurred within Ntfs.sys, the driver file that allows the system to read and write to NTFS file system drives.

There are 2 common causes for the ntfs sys blue screen. Following are the 2 causes and the corresponding step to resolve it:

1. Malfunctioning SCSI and Advanced Technology Attachment (ATA) hardware or drivers can also adversely affect the system’s ability to read and write to disk, causing errors. If using SCSI hard disks, check for cabling and termination problems between the SCSI controller and the disks.

2. Verify that the tools you use to continually monitor your system, such as virus scanners, backup programs, or disk defragmenters are compatible with Windows XP. Some disks and adapters come packaged with diagnostic software that you can use to run hardware tests.

Old Lady Calling My Son

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

My teenage son was having difficulty with his new cell phone. We’d just gotten him one for Christmas when he started receiving these weird calls from an old woman. We did a reverse cell phone search on it via the Internet and found the name of the person calling him and running up his minutes. I called her from our land line and found out it was an older woman who had this number for her grandson. Apparently, he’d had the number before we did. She was very apologetic and I almost felt bad for calling her on the issues, but at least it stopped the calls.

What To Do When Your MBR Has Been Corrupted

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

I own my own business, and I use a laptop when I am seeing clients. Last month there was a problem when I tried rebooting, and nothing that I tried would get it to work correctly. I had a day full of appointments that I thought I would have to miss, so I called a tech support line and asked them to help me. I told them what was happening, and they diagnosed the problem. They told me that my mbr had been corrupted, and they walked me through the steps that were necessary to fix it. I was so glad to have my laptop back and functioning again!
