Little Miss Muffet scared me as a kid
I collect nursery rhyme themed figurines like Goldilocks, 3 little pigs, etc. but not Little Miss Muffet. I think I have a complex about LMMuffet. First, when I was a kid, I had no idea what curds and whey was. Curds just sounded disgusting because it sounded like something a dog did on the grass, and that was gross. (I couldn’t eat cottage cheese for 20 years because it had ‘curds’ in it.) And then there was a spider that sat down beside her, and that freaked me out big time. I imagined a spider as big as a terrier or something coming along, so I DID NOT LIKE LITTLE MISS MUFFET. Still won’t collect her figurines, though if you do, good on you.
